Mi Mesa

Abuela Anita

Our Story

I started helping my grandma Anita sell food when I was nine years old. Cooking beside her became more than preparing meals—it became how I stayed connected to my culture while growing up in the United States.

As a first-generation American, there were times when I felt ni de aquí, ni de allá. But every time I cooked with my grandma Anita, I was Potosina. I was Mexican.

Through Mi Mesa, I want every visitor to feel like they have been invited to our family table.

Where It All Began

Every recipe at Mi Mesa is inspired by the traditions of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. This is where my grandma Anita taught me that food is more than a meal—it is a way to share love, culture, and family. It's so important to make time and sit with loved ones at the table. Even though Mi Mesa is a fictional restaurant, its story is inspired by real memories that continue to shape who I am today.

Our Mission

At Mi Mesa, every meal is prepared with the same love, tradition, and hospitality that my grandma Anita shared with me growing up. We hope every guest leaves feeling like they have shared a meal with the Mendoza family.
